Spring Suspension Load & Truck Scales
Spring Suspension System
The RIGHT WEIGH™ spring ride load sensor for our Exterior Digital Scale is designed to measure the on-the-ground weight of spring suspension trailers.
Axle Load Sensor
The precision sensor attached to the center of the axle detects the strain in the axle. This strain is then measured and converted to pounds or kilograms by the RIGHT WEIGH™ digital scale system.
HOW IT WORKS
The trailer weight puts strain on the axle because the load is coming straight down on the springs and an equally opposite force is coming up through the tires. This strain on the axle is then measured by the precision sensors and converted to pounds or kilograms by the RIGHT WEIGH™ digital scale system using the calibration information entered by the user during initial setup.
Guidelines for Configuration
Spring Suspension System monitors trailer weight only.
Compatible with most axle diameters and shapes.
One sensor installed on each axle in the axle group.
One digital scale reads all the sensors per axle group.
INSTALLATION
The RIGHT WEIGH™ spring suspension sensor must be installed while the axle group is empty and attached to the top center of the axle. There must be at least 9 inches (230 mm) of open space between the brake booster brackets.

WEIGHING CONDITIONS
The accuracy of the scale is dependent on the mechanical repeatability of your leaf-spring suspension as well as the ground surface conditions.
